Sheet Pan Country Ribs with Caramelized Veggies

These country-style pork ribs are fall-apart tender with bold, smoky flavor—and they only take one pan. By seasoning with both Shawhan Farms Buck’s Spicy BBQ Seasoning and Shawhan Farms Classic Poultry Seasoning, you get the best of both worlds: spicy heat and savory depth.

Why It Works

Country-style pork ribs are meatier than traditional ribs and roast beautifully on a sheet pan. This cut becomes tender in the oven while developing a flavorful crust from dry rubs and rendered fat. Toss in a mess of vegetables halfway through, and you’ve got a complete, satisfying meal in under an hour—with just one pan to clean.

Recipe: Sheet Pan Country Ribs with Carrots, Onions & Potatoes

Serves: 4
Time: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 2½–3 lbs country-style pork ribs
  • 1½ tbsp Shawhan Farms Buck’s Spicy BBQ Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Shawhan Farms Classic Poultry Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion, cut into thick wedges
  • 3–4 medium carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
  • 1 lb baby or fingerling potatoes, halved
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep the ribs: Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed sheet pan with foil or parchment. Pat ribs dry and place on the pan. Rub with Buck’s Spicy BBQ Seasoning and Poultry Seasoning. Let sit while oven finishes preheating.
  2. Start the roast: Roast ribs for 25 minutes uncovered, flipping once halfway through.
  3. Add vegetables: Toss onions, carrots, and potatoes with olive oil and a pinch of salt. Arrange around ribs on the pan. Return to oven and roast another 25–30 minutes, until ribs are tender and vegetables are caramelized.
  4. Serve: Spoon pan juices over everything and serve hot. Leftovers reheat beautifully for lunch bowls or can be chopped and tossed into a hash the next day.

Leftover Tips

  • Use leftover ribs in a BBQ fried rice or skillet hash with eggs.
  • Chop roasted vegetables into a grain bowl with vinaigrette for an easy lunch.
  • Reheat ribs in foil with a splash of broth to retain moisture.
