These crispy BBQ chickpeas are a quick way to bring bold flavor and crunch into your kitchen. With just a few pantry staples, you can turn a simple can of chickpeas into something that works as a snack or a topping for salads and soups.
They come together fast and hold their own wherever you use them, adding texture and a savory edge without extra effort.
Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil
- 2–3 tbsp Betty’s Best Sweet & Smoky BBQ Rub
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Drain and rinse chickpeas, then pat them dry thoroughly. The drier they are, the crispier they will become.
- In a bowl, toss chickpeas with olive oil until evenly coated.
- Add BBQ seasoning and mix until all chickpeas are coated.
- Spread chickpeas in a single layer on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- Let cool slightly before serving. They will continue to crisp as they cool.
