Spice up your dinner routine with our irresistible Cajun Shrimp Pasta! Tender fettuccine coated in a flavorful blend of Cajun blackened spice, paired with succulent shrimp and a medley of onions, bell peppers, garlic, and tomatoes.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces fettuccine, cooked to al dente
- 12oz medium cooked frozen shrimp
- 6 tbsp cajun blackened spice
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ medium onion, diced
- 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 3 medium roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 tsp oregano seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1¼ cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley , for garnishing
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Start by boiling pasta in a large pot, according to box instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Wash shrimp and remove tails, pat dry.
- In a large gallon ziploc bag, pour 5 tbsp of cajun blackened seasoning. Fill bag with shrimp and shake until shrimp are thoroughly coated.
- Melt butter in large saute pan on medium heat.
- Place shrimp and cook for 2 min on each side to set in flavor and develop crust. Take shrimp off pan and set aside.
- With the pan still heated, add onion and pepper and garlic and simmer for 2-3 min.
- Add tomato, salt, pepper, oregano, paprika, and 1 tbsp cajun blackened spice. Stir.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce and chicken broth.Simmer for 7-10 min. Turn off heat.
- Combine cooked fettuccine noodles with sauce until well incorporated. Top with cooked shrimp and garnish with parsley.
