Spice up your dinner routine with this Cajun shrimp pasta. Fettuccine is coated in a bold, savory sauce built from Cajun blackened seasoning, sautéed vegetables, and broth, then finished with tender shrimp for a balanced, flavorful dish.
Ingredients
- 8 oz fettuccine, cooked to al dente
- 12 oz medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 6 tbsp Dap's Cajun blackened seasoning
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 3 medium roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 1/4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Pat shrimp dry and remove tails if needed.
- Place shrimp in a large bag with 5 tablespoons Cajun seasoning and shake until evenly coated.
- Melt butter in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes per side until lightly crisped. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Add tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano, paprika, and remaining 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning. Stir to combine.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and chicken broth. Simmer for 7–10 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until well coated.
- Top with shrimp, garnish with parsley, and serve.
