Cook Time: 45–50 minutes

How to Make Hot Honey

Hot honey is simply honey warmed with chili heat and allowed to steep.

You will need:
½ cup honey
1–2 teaspoons red pepper flakes

Warm the honey gently in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in the red pepper flakes and let it barely simmer for 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow it to steep for at least 5 minutes. Strain for a smooth finish, or leave the flakes in for more heat.

Reserve 3–4 tablespoons for the wings. Store the remaining honey in a jar at room temperature for up to two weeks.

Ingredients for the Wings

2 pounds chicken wings, split and patted dry
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2–3 tablespoons prepared hot honey
2 teaspoons Shawhan Farms Italian Herb & Garlic Parmesan

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment and set a wire rack on top if available.

2. Toss the wings with olive oil and salt. Arrange in a single layer, skin side up.

3. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until the skin is crisp and deeply golden.

4. Transfer the hot wings to a large bowl and toss with the prepared hot honey.

5. Sprinkle with Italian Herb & Garlic Parmesan and toss lightly before serving.

Quick Wing Dip Ideas

Creamy Ranch Shortcut
½ cup sour cream
1 tablespoon milk
½ teaspoon dried dill
Pinch of garlic powder
Salt to taste

Blue Cheese Board Style

Kitchen Notes

For extra crisp skin, let the wings sit uncovered in the refrigerator for an hour before baking. If using an air fryer, cook at 400°F for 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Hot honey also works well on pizza, biscuits, roasted vegetables, and sharp cheeses.
