This creamy garlic Parmesan pasta brings together a smooth, savory sauce with tender pasta, sweet peas, and salty prosciutto. The combination creates a balanced dish that feels rich without being heavy.

It’s a quick, reliable option for weeknights when you want something comforting without spending too much time in the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated or shaved
  • 2 tbsp butter, divided
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Shawhan Farms Tuscan Black Garlic Parmesan Inspirations seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1/2 cup half and half or milk
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups bowtie pasta (dry)
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 3–4 slices prosciutto, chopped
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions, stopping 1–2 minutes early. Reserve some pasta water if needed, then drain.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Add seasoning and thyme, cooking briefly to bloom the flavors.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, then slowly add milk while stirring. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add peas and cook for about 1 minute.
  6. Add pasta and remaining butter, tossing to coat.
  7. Gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth. Add prosciutto and mix.
  8. Let sit briefly to thicken, then garnish with parsley and serve.

Recipe Notes

  • Sauce will thicken as it rests.
  • Adjust consistency with a splash of pasta water if needed.
  • Serve with additional Parmesan if desired.
